Problem solved!

So, it was the temp regulator. I plugged in the rebuilt one, and the CCU was able to modulate the heat, and allow cool air too.

I only get hot air no matter where the temp wheel is set UNLESS I go to the cold detent on the wheel. Then I get cold air....

The rubber cap came off of the modulator adjustment area and the small T-shaped adjuster is missing. Where can I get one of these? I don't see it listed in the parts catalog.

Outside temperature display

My 93 300d has the outside temp display that is lit, but has never shown a reading. I know where the sensor is, behind the license plate. But I'm not sure if it's a bad display or sensor. Any ideas?

A couple of years ago, I had a flare on the 2-3 shift in my 3000SD. I bought a Superior shift kit (really, just a bunch of colored springs), installed the relevant springs and it fixed the problem.
