I did get it in Europe, but it was built for delivery to the United States. I did drive a '97 once, and it couldn't get out of its own way. The turbo is absolutely necessary.

The best I ever got in her was 36 mpg. Diesel had gone up to $4.75 and I drove her 55 mph to and from work. Generally she gets 30 mpg as most of my driving miles are highway.

My neighbor and I fish the local bass tournaments, or rather, used to. One week before the last two tournaments, I caught bass that would have won the whole tournament...two times, each a week ahead...
