Yeah I definitely have to agree with RPM55. Those bolts were probably blue loc-tited, then an impact was used to secure them. Over time and with heat, rust, they definitely must have been frozen...

I took off the whole center console and found 2 exposed wires from that right rear switch. Previously, the backlight would not come on that switch...

yeah I'm going to unplug the center console switch, which I know is bad - dunno about the status of the door switch,

I'll definitely look inside the door for damage to that slider piece if I can't...

I don't know about the prices for Mercedes stuff, but in lieu of rebuilding the calipers on my Chevy Tahoe I just bought rebuilt ones from Federated auto parts for like $17 each.... simple R&R job...

take a burnt-out bulb to a regular auto parts...
