Ok, I just got mine out. I had to muscle it out with a crow bar. It was really stuck. Now I'm trying to get the seal out...it seems pressed in but I can't knock it out from behind.

Yes I did think about all that crap circulating inside the transmission. I've heard the piston should be a little cheaper than that. Have to check around.

Pulled the B2 piston this evening and yes this was the problem. It was in peices. Local dealer wants $179.00 just for the piston but I guess this is cheaper than a new transmission.

Thanks, I printed the article. I'm a little worried in your description of this problem that if 4th gear is having problems then it is not the B2 piston. It did jump down to 3rd a couple of times...
