Only one "fanfair" horn works on 560SEL

All you who know about the 560SEL know they have two horns, the Euro sound and the "fanfair" sound. My car is 86 560SEL. Usually only one of the fanfair horns sound. BUT sometimes they both sound....

SO i glued a strip of satin ribbon along the bottom...

I'm replacing all the rubber engine air breather hoses. there is a little hose that connects the two rubber boots at the idle air valve assembly.

finally got the passenger kick panel off... unfortunately broke one of the metal clips. sure enough, one more screw holding the knee bolster up was hidden behind the kick panel as I suspected.

The pictures posted are of a 5 cylinder diesel. Used in 85 and older 300SD. Others may be able to determine better the exact model the engine came from but it is not the six cylinder engine type...

at idle in park @ approx 800 RPM vacuum reads about 17.5. actually it fluctuates up to 18 and down to 17 but mostly at 17.5

in D or R with parking brake set without foot on brake...
