Judging by the part number, its an M-Pump. It should have Splined socket delivery tubes. The euro 240D I had a while back was relatively peppy. It had an M-Pump. RHD or LHD, no difference with the IP.

Oil definitely degrades with heat, and there is enough flow to drain the sump in a matter of seconds when a line breaks. The oil cooler is pretty important on a turbo 617.

I'm pretty sure the M110 is just as durable as any diesel out there. Unfortunately, it is a tuned down gas hog in the stateside version. The M110 bottom end is nearly bulletproof.
