Same transmission dipstick for 2001 ML and 2005 sprinter?

Does anyone know if the tranmission dipstick is the same for the 2001 ML320 and 2005 Sprinter 2500? I need to buy one, and was hoping to avoid buying two.

You can hit the lock button on the key fob to close the top (have to hold the button down until it's done) or hit the unlock button to open the top.

Any ideas on how you can do some modification...
