Glow plug problem

Checked resistance #4 open, checked wire, wire good. Relay is working, power at #4 is good. Bad glow plug. Any helpful hints to removing #4 on
92 300D 2.5... Looks like intake needs to come off....

Glow light comes on after relay turns off G plugs

I have verified this with volt meter. When relay is heating the glow plugs (verified by voltage at glow plugs) light in dash is off. When relay cuts voltage to GP -- light comes on for apx 20 sec....
