380sl climate control refrigerant change

What is the R12 refrigerant and oil volumes for a 1982 380SL. THe system has been evacuated and I cannot read the AC label in the engine compartment. Also where can I purchase R12 refrigerant.

The gas smell seems to have been caused by a faulty seal gasket on the gas filler cap. Simple fix.... cut a new gasket from a piece of rubber sheet. Thanks to all for the hints.
