Tried that too but had to resort to cutting the stud then hammering out the remainder. I needed the space to swing the 2 lb hammer.

It's a Bosch item. Any decent diesel injection shop should have them. In my limited experience stretching the spring doesn't work well. For the price you may just as well buy a new one.

I thought they were. The newsest one, left front, collapsed upon itself. Thus the shudder in R originally until all gears shuddered due metal to metal contact. New mount in and almost all is well....

The shudder now occurs in P,R,N, and D at low power. By applying power the shudder goes away. All shifts are normal. I'd swear the drive train must be contacting the body somewhere...
