All of my vacuum pods were leaking, removed them, now I want cowl (fresh) air into the fan blower (AC quit two years ago) but can't figure out how the cowl vent air gets into the heater box. I know...

Remove the blower motor, get a flashlight and small mirror, shine onto the coils, use a garden hose and spray long and hard. You won't believe the poop that flushes out the drain. No more smell.

dipstick tube

You are right! The tube was fine, it is the transmission oil pan that developed a fine crack on the inside (fatigue failure) and caused the dripping. Looks like I need a new pan.
