Problem solved. Found the intake air temp sensor blown out of the air box.
Locking clip on the sensor is broken.
Made temporary repair with a cable tie, truck runs fine now...

Removed fuel lines about 3 years ago....Have old man's memory...
Remade the metal lines, have new rubber hoses into the fuel tank - and now I'm trying to figure out how to run the fuel hoses clear...

WTB brake caliper bolts

Four rear brake caliper bolts needed out of W126 with anti squat rear suspension /alloy trailing arms.
Bolt size is M12-1.5 x approx. 40 mm long.

W126's with steel trailing arms have 30 mm long...

After removing front cover and chain, and if the tensioner rail casting is in good condition, the rail liner can be replaced without removing the head.

Purchase new rail and separate the liner...

I'm planning on fiting the alloy arms to my 350sdl - have both steel and alloy arms in my workshop.
My guess is that the anti squat suspension is heavier than the standard one - despite the alloy...

350sdl stalled - no start

After treating rust under the fuse box and the battery tray, I reconnected all fusebox etc. wiring and started the car. Even though it has not been started since last Nov - it started right away....
