What would you do? Buy or keep?

Should I replace my 300E 2.6 w/215,000, that might need a good $2,000 to keep running over next 12-18 months, or pick up a 2001, E320 w/56,000 for $15,000?

Sunday night, car battery nearly dead.
Noticed that the antenna had not fully retracted, since the previous Friday night.
Would that have drained the battery?

dashboard outdoor temp

Antenna not rising to the occassion

Radio antenna for my 1992 300E, 2.6, suddenly stopped rising. Would the motor just stop like that, or is there other possible cause I might trouble-shoot?

New to me, 300E, 1992, 2.6l. Great condition,but seems like it takes a while to shift from 0-60. What are correct rpm's as I accelerate?
