I've had it happen on my SDL when the turbo blew... it's not a good feeling to lift your foot off the accelerator and have the car continue to speed up.

Thankfully keeping it in gear and coming...

You can take them apart and mix / match...

Yes that's what I've seen. Max no load RPM on the .970 was set at like 4100 rpm. It's higher on the .971, I don't know offhand what the factory number is.
