So you're saying that once I remove the 4 bolts from the mount in the back and lower the differentail somewhat, I can get to the two front bolts?

Chassis Number

I know it's a 123.130, but that's not the number I referring to. For example, FastLane lists motor mounts for a 1981 300D (617.912 engine) as follows:

Chassis Range

Found my problem. Took the pan off and looked at the threaded fitting. It turns out it is brazed into the pan and there was a hairline crack that could barely be seen. Got my torch out, rebrazed...

What also has me confused is that the thing screws in (has threads on it). I thought the transmission vacuum modulator was bolted in (remove a couple bolts and it slides in with an o-ring seal)?
