I also saw those pictures and was scared to death until I also read that he had an oil seal on the turbo that was bad and was using a lot of engine oil. That explains it all.

My 84 300 sd had the same problem. Figured out that the sending unit connector plug on top of the tank was worn from 20 years of vibration. Cleaned both ends real good and slightly bent the male...

84 300 SD cold misfire

My 300 sd misfires or stumbles every few seconds until it warms up. I replaced the glow plugs and it still does it.
Should I replace the injectors? Motor runs perfect other than that.

Horn stuck and had to cut wire at horn. The switch in the steering wheel is good. Thinking it is the horn relay. Location please??

I'm going to install a bypass oil filter and want to tap into the oil pressure port on the side of the block. What size of threads?
