I disagree, Dexron is fully compatible with prior Dexron issues...no question...plus it's all bullcrap anyway.....believe me, this is mostly marketing.....

that would be interesting.....cause my 124 has floating....just did them on the front....no question...floating caliper...my caliper was Teves....Teves is good...the piston retracted nicely...wasn't...

fixed caliper....much more direct application yet much more expensive...It's all about cake and for most consumer applications floating caliper is just fine......

you have floating calipers

the piston pulls the outside pad in via a claw....and throws the load off accordingly....typically the inside pad will wear much quicker than the outside pad.....advantage to floating...

if you want quick answer just take the thermostat out and put the car back together, fill it with water, don't even bother with antifreeze and drive it...you'll find out that way real quick.....there...

if you are losing that much coolant and there is no external leak the only other answer is your cylinder head and/or gasket is shot...probably the head gasket needs replacing, it's one of those...

I swear, I have been driving BMW's VW's SAABs Audis Volvos Fiats and Mercedes for 35 years and have NEVER had a warped rotor....ever..and this is in Chicago...yep, it's the old warped man eating...

there are no such things as cheap rotors....rotors are all the same...foget about that....believe whatever you want my friend...my advise is get dirty...braking systems are not mystical.....

fuel filter will generally be after the fuel pump...I would replace the fuel filter, it's cheap and fairly simple and you've done everything else...why not the fuel filter?

the way to test

a fan clutch is to spin the blade by hand with the engine stone cold and not running (of course), the fan blade should spin freely. If it doesn't then the clutch is bad...to be sure run the car...

I bought a 1990 300TE 3 years ago for $3600. Car had 124K on it..seller tried to sell it as a 4-Matic for $5600. Only took one look....he pleaded ignorance...HE thought all Mercedes Benz from 1990...

of course you have to torque the bolt to spec after the car is on the ground...that's the pre-load.....
