They went with that clamp design b/c a speed head takes very little force to be driven.....

..and knowing this allows the experienced tech to know when the flange nut is loose.

The harness part# was changed mid-year on >95 124.032 chassis.

Index the nut to the pinion shaft before removal...then just put it back to index.

Otherwise, it is a tricky job that requires inch lb turning torque for preload set.

Aux fan relays did not have built-in fuses on top until 94/95 E class.
The fuse for 93 is #7 in the fuse box... Spin it in the holder.

Again, simply jumper the pigtail switch @ drier w/key ON...
