I am trying to install a replacement passengerside motor on my 1992 300E and it's giving me fits.

The tach was dead.
Well, I pulled the instrument cluster today and swapped with a known good cluster. The tach worked. So, swapped in the used tach while mine is being sent off to be repaired.

So, the sensor reads RPM from the dampner. Assuming the car will not run without the sensor then the sensor is ok. And since all other gauges and the cruise control are alive then the problem seems...
