Thanks for the links. I now have a much better grasp of how this is put together (supposed to be). I'll pull the balancer today and hope for the best.

Should I be concerned about those metal pieces? Any idea what they would be from? If all is good should I just throw some blue locktite on there and torque it down to that scary number?
