Just for the record...

... after ~5 months, this problem just "fixed itself". Yesterday, I figured, what the hell, and hit the eject button for the cartridge. It popped out like it was brand new. Go figure.

I use a water blade too. The S-420 has lots of large flat areas. Perfect for a water blade.

I don't doubt the people that say they do but I don't see how it could possibly scratch someone's paint.
