My 87 190E-2.6 sometime will just die while driving, it could be coasting, under acceleration, up hill, down hill or even sitting at a stop light. when it does and i try to restart it just cranks....

mine died at 100,011 miles. I have had VDO gauges on my Porsches die at about the same mileage. i think its just one of those things. i look at the oil now to determine change interval.
