Not sure I understand

From the bottom of the seat their is no give. I'm sure once seen it all makes sense I just don't understand how you work the side panel. My learning issue. I'm afraid to bend the back panel to far....

Does anyone know the trick to removing the back panel on the electric seats. I have found two screws at the bottom of the seats but don't see how one removes the panel after those are...

I have an 93 E300 3.2 and have been told that the car may not pass Smog? "Because of the harness!" if true that would be reason enough for a recall

104,640 miles best so far was 24.2 avg
21.7 hiway and town foot in it most of the time.
