on the plastic panels of the rear truck are 3 plastic piece
- u shaped moulding
- main plastic bottom
- rear break light cover

You need to change the front linkage I bet... The part is like $20 and it breaks down very easily (cheap rubber boot). I had the same problem, make sure you put back the original synthetic tranny...

Gilly, those washable knn air filters require spray of oil around it after you wash it.. I think that oil is causing the MAF's sensitive wire to be dirty and covered, also I believe the knn air...

Make sure you remove the plastic tray under the radio and your glove box has to be removed as well.. the switch panel is not bolted down, its only held by clips you just pull it out gently...

User a multimeter

Simply use a multimeter and see if the bulb works or just use some wires and plug it directly to the battery to see if it lights up, It may have lost the gas inside thus thats why it doesn't work..

MAF Sensor

those codes = maf sensor needs to be replaced.. I had two ML's with the same codes and after replacing the MAF Sensors the light went away =)

MAF Sensors are usually replaced..

No one cleans them, MB just replaces them, you probably made it worst by trying to clean em.. Maybe its your O2 sensors?

Use any obd2 scanner if you see P170 or P173 than you know its the MAF.. try resetting and pray that it doesn't come back... could be your gas cap..
