It could be the 'Over Voltage Protection Relay'....

It could be the 'Over Voltage Protection Relay'. It is located behind the battery. You may try to replace that.

That's right. The regulator is not repairable....

That's right. The regulator is not repairable. You need to replace with new one. I just use the normal rivets from hardware store. Make sure the size is right.

I've replace mine. I use drill to remove revert and hand held revert gun to install reverts. The trick to remove reverts is to use nail to push out the centre riverts.
Simple job.
