After testing the entire fuel supply system the problem turned out to be loss of residual fuel pressure. Tested fuel pressure which was 92psi normal but was dropping to 45psi a little too low, and...

Master cylinder

I'm with 97 on this. You need to loosen the master cylinder bolts so you have ample wiggle room to line up the fitting so its square with the M/ cylinder. I would bench bleed the master cylinder...

I have a 1991 560SEC lately out of the blue, I crank it when cold, it starts for split second then quits. Almost like its a spark issue, but then I go to restart it using the accelerator...

Ok, that makes perfect sense. Better cleaner exhaust emissions. Glad to know its normal. My wife's toyota had that back in the mid 90's. They probably stole the idea from MB.

2-3 cold shifting issue

The lousy 2-3 shift happens with my 91 560SEC only with cold engine and trans. I have to let up on the accelerator to cheat it to shift up to 3rd or it will shift a bit late. After warming only...
