Back in 06, IIRC it might have been before ULSD, I hand calculated a best of 33 mpg if I was theoretically cruising at 85.

Hmmm. I've never owned a car that I couldn't find more power that I wanted to pull out of it. That is why I buy used cars. Warranty is up and I can do what I want.

I'd only get a CDI when my W210 wears out to the point it is economically unfeasible. Not sure that the extra few mpg justifies the cost of the upgrade.

www.fueleconomy.gov thinks it is much lower than 49. Rated it at 23 city and 33 hwy. Still, based on the rating, I can't justify the switch since I am rated at 23 city and 32 hwy. Not worth it for...
