I would think that the fuel being expensive is very important when you consider it as part of the calculation of whether to go gas or diesel. To me, what is the cost per mile not how much you pay at...

Back then (not sure about now) they also cost more up front when buying a truck. I know that my Excursion was higher priced with the diesel option. IIRC, it was about $6K give or take.

How is the...

And if they don't survive? We lost the money. Doesn't look like they are doing that well today, does it? Kinda makes them a poor loan client. Worse than the clients for the "Payday Loan" shops. Maybe...

Single alt here. I switched to Fleetrite so I don't have to add the FW-15 and it is supposed to be a better coolant.

The vette has more in it that it is worth because it is a toy. The Ex is a towing vehicle and the Japs don't have anything better. Basically, I am not looking to sell them even if the big 3 go into...

Given a Camry or Accord vs a Malibu or equivalent. Even if they cost the same, besides the die hards, who would pay the same money when they already know that the Big 3 lack quality? It would have to...

Sounds good to me. However, you realize that profit is pretty much what can keep a company afloat. If it doesn't care about profit, you going to keep it on life support all day long? Also, as to...

How do you like your 7.2L Powerstroke? I like my 7.3 one a lot. :D Must be a new model I was unaware of. :D I know 7.3 units are very modifiable. I have tweaked mine a bit. What do they make for the...

I don't think so. We will never be able to compete with the asian labor rates and the strength of their auto industry. Best we lay this one to rest and go for different ventures instead of beating...

Yes it is.

Too fast is a good starting point. The only reason why my Vette is stuck at 410 HP at the wheels is because I have a 11:1 compression motor. If I had planned it right, I would have...

Forced injection. Without the turbo, it is a pooch. I wouldn't pay more than half of what a 98 E300 is worth for a 95-97 E300.

Driven it. It wasn't too bad for what it was. It does come close to...

Pretty much. Like I said, my E300 can't touch the C280 or even the E class gas I played with. The CDIs seem a little more peppy. Take away the turbo and make it NA like the gas cars and watch them go.
