I suppose the plastic fan has less rotational mass. Probably doesn't make much difference unless you plan to race the car.

The "standard" fix is to buy the 606 clutch and plastic fan for your 603. For some reason the 606 clutch is a lot less expensive than the 603 clutch even though it appears to be the same thing.
