nope, it's coolant powered. when the heat is on, the windshield is heated at the base. it MAY do it anytime the defroster is on, but since heat would also be on then, it makes sense.

always have a little air out the defrosters, and when it's cool outside, the glass fogs up outside.
126's have a heated windshield when the heat is on, there is actually a water loop mounted...

how "peachie" does your air work? perhaps you can open the heat SLIGHTLY to allow a bit of warm air to mix with the cold hitting the windshield?
