wjob, I only used the indianhead sealer ( hi tack ) to keep the manifolid gasket firmly agasinst the head surface for R&Rs.

Not B_C, but grabbed a can of carb cleaner and headed down to the "wanda wash" with mine. Sprayed it up, washed it out. Engine Gunk would have worked better, but I had the gumout.
