I have removed the straps, cleaned out the old...

I have removed the straps, cleaned out the old grease, and regreased them. shot in WD-40 etc... they still don`t work. maybe for a shrt time.

I think inside the slider part is a ball or maybe 2...

Replacing the door check is around 20 minutes...

Replacing the door check is around 20 minutes plus. first time is the most difficult.
W201 shouldn`t be that much different than a w123.

Remove door latch trim
Pry off plastic cover on top...
