where do you get the valve bodies? are those rebuilt by MB? what do they run? i'm going to have my low revving tranny checked out at a local indy / "MB specialist" and want to know...

I don't understand the "Firestone carelessness" reference. Newer Veedubs like your Cab have a 10yr/100k warranty which ought to have covered the tranny unless you did something like throw the car...

i saw the receipt for my tranny change ('99) from...

i saw the receipt for my tranny change ('99) from the PO and the dealer indicated about $2k although there was nc for the warranty service.
