I could not tell from his description if it really was metal to metal ...and he had already decided to wait... so I was just suggesting how to keep the fluid in there.. Trans-x certainly not a fix...

Suck out enough trans fluid so you can put in one or two cans of Trans-x.
May have to do it more than once depending on how much you are leaking..
