I am talking about the big cover that covers the entire distributor, wire ends and all with the big MB star on the very top. What you see in pictures. I guess the latter one in your post.

I have noticed that all W126 motors have that plastic cover that goes over the distributor with the star on the top. My car doesn't have that. I don't know if it ever came with one or not since...
