It has front lap and shoulder belts (pretty funny looking how they attach separetly). But I can't remember if it does have seatbelts in the back.

yeah that sounds more plausible. My Dad suggested it was the valve seals, and yours and his seem to make more sense than the silly dealer suggestion.
