Only experience I've had with A/C cutting out was ultimately caused by a failing OVP relay behind the battery but like Larry says more information is needed before coming to any conclusions.

i would also suspect sudden catastrophic turbo seal failure. I've talked to some mechanics and they stood the exhaust on end for days for oil to drip out of it and then even with the new turbo...
