Good to know. I too have a rack leak in my E430. I can get a reman for $185CDN, which is not bad but if I can fix with Lucas then that's a bonus.

That what I thought, I'll have to make some sort of stand-off I suppose to keep it out in the air. Maybe new ones won't run so hot. Terminals are rusted solid anyway.

Ignition resistors and HEAT!!

Just wondering. 79 450 SEL, with engine off but key on and ignition on are the resistors supposed to get really hot? I know they're resistors but like hot enough to burn paint?

I would take a harder look at Cyl #2 that's a big drop since the lowest of the rest is 140. put some oil (1tbsp)in the chambers and re test, if it improves, it's rings, if not it's valves.

Was the complaint from this customer. Vehicle ultimately got written off..hit a pot hole in my town. and here I am thinking about lowering my ride :)
