When you pulled the intake manifold off, there are two vacuum lines that attach to the actuators for the plenum flaps. You have to make sure those get back on there well or you will BANG every shift.

New rebuild from Sun Valley and its shifting beautifully. i can barely afford to fill it up, but I take short drives with prefectly smooth shifts.
