Weird ...console lights (climate control) work normally when lights are turned on and stay on for about 5-10 minutes, then go out. When lights have been in use for an hour or so and are turned off...

Not sure what mode limp home is ... are you talking about an engine management limp home or transmission limp home ...in either case, not sure how ASD operates within constraints of limp...
