Both of the cars look way better than serviceable - the E is the best, and looks only a couple years old, no dents or door dings, pretty much like the sig pictures below. But they are old cars, like...

Sl320 -good points. The old fuel injection system in the E has always worked, but not very smoothly. The C was problematic for the first 50k miles, mostly the trans and front suspension. Since then...

I believe most of the 5 speed electronic trans issues were ironed out by late 98-early 99. After the Stealership rebuilt my early 98 trans 3 times under warranty, it seems they finally got it right...

I own both a 124 (22 years old) and a C230 (1998). Not all 124 and 202 cars are equal! Early 124s were lighter - my C230 outweighs the 87 300E, but not my son's 92 300E. Later 124s had more...

Twins

Both the 87 300E and the 98 C230 have 140k miles, original engine and trans on each. The E will probably outlast the C230, me, maybe even the worlds fuel supply.
