Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but...

I just tried this in an attempt to remedy the air bubbles in my ‘98 E300’s fuel system AND to stop the fuel from flowing back out of the #1 fuel line. I got the same results. No air bubbles in the...

Compressor Clutch

The clutch went out on my ‘96 E300 at the beginning of Spring this year. The AC had been ice cold and I didn’t want to disturb the system so I opted to just replace the clutch. After reading about...

1997 E300 OBDII Diagnostic Port Location

I have a friend who swears that his ‘97 E300 doesn’t have a scan port under the dash. I know my ‘96 E300 has one. Did MB do something different in ‘97. He says that his only has the large round port...

The IP is fully electronic. The transmission end of the pressure control cable in my ‘95 looks nothing like the one in the ‘96. I wish I knew what the vacuum actuator integrated into it does. The ‘95...

I’ll Try This Again

Fluid level is correct and fluid is nice and clean. When the transmission shifts it is a nice clean shift. Moderate to heavy acceleration produces fairly decent shift times. Light acceleration causes...

I thought so too...

The fluid level is correct and the fluid great! There’s no adjustment “nut” on the cable like you’d find on an OM601/602/603. Information is also very scarce on this particular setup.

I’m not finding much that’s specific to the ‘96 E300 722.4 transmission.

I’ve inspected all the vacuum lines. No breaks or leaks...that can be easily detected. The transmission just doesn’t want...

I'm hoping that it's not that drastic. I sure hope not, but that's a real possibility.
