have been lookin at a 79 450SLC (W107).
will I be able to transfer the tire/wheel setup from the TE to SLC.

It is indeed ,the fuel pump.I believe yours have two of them, one in front and the other at the back. It is a simple remove and refit job with basic tools. good luck

yes, it is fuel injected, we use unleaded, the note sticker under hood says 'KAT code 62/0', so i believe it has a catalytic converter,but am not sure if the previous owner might have junked...

Ali , no the oxygen sensor was never changed. I shall also try that....
