As was I....a pity, really. And considering that it was running up until three weeks ago, the fuel pump has been replaced, etc....doesn't sound like an easy fix either.

Well, took a quick look today. Like all w116's....rust on the rockers. Too bad about them up here....it's a real shame. Back bumper is cracked and needs replaced. It died about three weeks...

Is there any way to bypass an ignition switch to check out a non-running vehicle for sale? Or does the entire electronic ignition switch prevent that?

V.R. upgrade?

Is it possible to replace the voltage regulator for one that puts out just a little more juice? I know the Porsche 944's are able to do this, to get their 12v up to about 13.8.
