Car reluctant to shift into 4th gear for first shift of the day
Recently my car has been reluctant to shift into 4th gear for the first shift of the day. It will get up to 40 mph where it would normally shift, but won't. So I have to either drop down in speed and...

The one I put in works ok
I put one in probably 2+ years ago. It's obviously not as good as a MB one but the MB one was what, $240 vs the URO which was $32 or something?
I've had no leaks from it. Mine's a w124 so maybe...

I'm no electrician, but....
On my W124, you would simply change out the switches and that would probably fix the problem. Not sure about your car. See if YouTube has anything on it.
Good luck with it.

Watch YouTube videos about the horrors of bad filters

2 small electrical problems that won't go away
1) Sometimes at night when I turn my lights on, the right rear side marker won't turn on so I get the dash warning light that a bulb is out. It's not the bulb, I've put a few of them in. I had...

Any retro devices to get near instant heat in winter?
My brother told me that new cars can give you a nice warm car within 1 minute on a cold days. The older cars take a good 15 minutes to get warmed up and start blowing heat.
Are there any retrofit...

Black cap???
Just from memory on my '91, there's sort of a flat headed bolt (natural silver metal color) that goes into the top of the big fuel filter. And yes, it should be VERY tight.

On my W124 I was using the Bilstein jack the other day. It's obviously designed so when the car is being jacked up, the jack it tilted a lot. Why is it that way?

I finally had...
