No, there isn't a trap oxidizer on the engine. I replaced the original air cleaner with an air cleaner off of a 1985 300SD. No more rattle at idle, and it looks better.

I can use the outer bearings from the 300SD spindle, and I'm pretty sure that the inner bearings are in the hub/rotor assembly.

Are you suggesting to bend the outlet tube on the box, or rotate the entire box? If I were to rotate the box, then the intake hole wouldn't line up. The problem is that the outlet tube is too high....
