Egg on car

Some jackass threw an egg on the 123. I have tried washing it off several times and am ready to use a brillo pad. Anybody have any tricks or suggestions for removing egg from car?

I am thinking some kind of veggie oil or B100 should take off the protein without killing the paint...

keep it soaked in water for a while. It will soften up and then you can use regular dish washing detergent to remove it.

This might sound a bit daft but have you tried spitting on it - leaving it to soak in - and then (gently) rubbing off with a cloth. I use this method for dried on bird **** and it works quite well. Your natural enzymes are quite good at attacking "food" [no I don't meant that I eat bird ****!], whilst they are not so corrosive or aggressive to paint work as say detergent, vinegar or brillopads.
This isn't a cure for all - but sometimes I've found it to work quite well.

No Brillo pad, unless you're looking for an excuse to repaint that body panel anyway.

Try any of the suggestions that have been made so far for soaking the offending spot. Then use clay bar on it and a mild finish polish with random orbital buffer, followed by wax.

NO BRILLO PADS ALLOWED ON PAINT!

Put a hot, wet towel on it and walk away for 20 minutes. When you come back it will wipe off. If some stays, re-wet the towel and reapply.

I tried this once without walking away. The results were, of course, disasterous . . . .
