300sdl rough start
checked glow plugs at relay by removing 6 pin connector and found #6 shows no continuity all others show.06-.09 ohms,when i check each glow plug at the glow plug itself all show ok? can anyone help me identify which one on cylinder head is #6 or the cylinder order i dont see any #s to identify this on engine,could it be a broken wire to glow plug # 6 all conections look good thanks for any help

#6 is closest to the firewall.

Check continuity between the glow plug tip and the connector at the relay.

The just go in order from front to back. That's not the firing order, that's how they are numbered.

Further, if you look closely at the connector at the glow plug relay, the pins are numbered corresponding to the cylinder.

And make sure it is with respect to the tip of the plug. This verifies the connection of the wire to the plug. I've found lately that glow plugs tested OK, but there was still high resistance from the connector at the relay to ground. If the glow plug itself is OK, then the problem is with the wire connection at the glow plug.
