OT: Need 300CD driver door glass

Quote:
Mods: I cross-posted here and in the parts forum. I hope you'll allow the transgression as I am having a very hard time.
Someone threw a rock through my driver's door window and I have been unable to find a replacement. I'm pretty desperate. Can anyone direct me to one? Any help would be appreciated...

I know a guy that has a passenger glass. Do you want me to ask him about it?

I would go to a fairly large auto wrecker. Identify the car properly. Have them put it out over their web to find one. Should work.

Make sure you tell them the 300 gas coupe of the same years has the same glass. They should know that anyways.

Sorry to hear that some jerk broke your window. For reference, here are the part numbers for the door glass on a 123.153 car:

123 720 23 18, Left Front Door
123 720 24 18, Right Front Door

Note that these windows fit the 123.150 body 300CD starting with serial number 3243, all 123.053 300CD Turbos, and the 123.053 body 280CE starting with serial number 12246. The first 300CD's and 280CE's had different windows for some reason.

As has been mentioned, it should be available from the Mercedes dealer. You might also try this forum's sponsor (Buy Parts tab at top). The trouble with used is it may be scratched on the outside due to the clips on the other glass seal wearing through and touching the glass.

For used, you might try looking in Hemmings Motor News.
