Holy high mileage batman

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/car/408063146.html

I wonder if changing the oil every 2500 miles has something to do with it.

Still, i feel sorry for whoever buys it for that much (if anyone).

If it were close and cheaper I'd buy it.

He should have put another 100k miles on it, than traded it to the dealer as a 30k mile example.

My 94 Accord V6 has 500,000+ miles with original engine but from day one it has been Mobil-I at every 5000 miles.

Oh boy, this paves the way for the ubiquitous 'Hondas will run for a million miles' claims.

Does that thing have any parts which are still original? He must have changed his CV joints at least three times, his tranny at least three times, etc.

I don't believe it.

Who the hell would DRIVE for business from Miami to Seattle??

Hondas are great cars but this just seems fishy. He's in Atlanta - if I had time I might go have a look, but probably not worth the time.

I had that thought, too. If he's a salesman, he must have a helluva big territory!

If a car had been THAT good to me, I don't think I would want to sell it...

Nobody in their right mind, but the fear of flying isn't uncommon. We have 2 salespeople who will not fly. Their territories are CT and eastern MA respectively so they don't have to fly for their daily work, but there are national turf and golf shows as well as training seminars 4 or 5 times a year all over the country. They schedule their vacations around them so that they can drive out, whether it's South Beach or San Diego.

While a little "off", it's certainly not out of the question. With all of that driving I'd seriously have to reconsider my career choice

I travelled from Staten Island NY to Upstate Poughkeepsie NY 5 days a week, it was 90miles roughly and IBM paid my fuel bills, one of the reasons I accrued the high miles on my Accord, for weekends I used the 240D.

Craig over on the diesel forum racks up a ton of miles on his 300D driving it around the country. He doesn't like flying, so he drives.

It even has a CARFAX report from when the car had 907,000 miles on it.
